Data Engineer/ Data Warehouse

A King of Prussia company is currently looking for a Data Warehouse Engineer to help build their internal payment platform. As a Data Warehouse Engineer they are developing an easy-to-use Payment Platform for all their internal users and customers. As a Data Warehouse Engineer you will be a key member of the Data Service group, working closely with the product owners to understand detailed requirements. Owning your code from design, implementation, test automation and delivering high quality products to their users. You will bring your prior experience in building data warehouse, data transformation and integration prototypes, tools, strategies and best practices. You will be working in a collaborative team using agile software development methodology.

Required Skills & Experience

  • A Computer Science or Engineering Bachelors or Masters Degree (or equivalent)
  • 4+ years experience working in Data Transformation platforms
  • 4+ years experience working in Data Warehouse platforms
  • Experience writing ETLs in Python (Kafka or Storm)
  • SQL and Non-SQL databases best practices
  • Data modeling experience and concepts, with experience using multiple tools
  • Experience support analytical platforms
  • Experience with EDC Platforms (Rave, Inform etc.) and CDISC Data Model - Preferred
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to impart ideas in both technical and user-friendly language
  • Hands on experience implementing and supporting Enterprise wide integrations
  • Ability to develop technical documentation for training and user procedures

  • Design and implement data warehouse strategy, including building ETL processes
  • Implement and support data transformation rules engine process and logic through data transformation
  • Provide guidance and implementation support to both the technical and application teams on systems interfacing with integration platform
  • Create and support design patterns
  • Provide input to estimates, time frames, quality and quantity of resources required to successfully implement business processes
  • Assist and oversee the delivery of special projects and enhancements; planning, resourcing and execution with compliance in scrum methodologies
