The Technical Analyst (ASE4) will act as a liaison between the client area and technical organization by planning, conducting and directing the analysis and design of complex business problems to be solved with automated systems. This position provides guidance to less experienced staff, and requires candidates to be well versed in the SQL language, preferably on the Teradata platform.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Acting as a liaison between the client area and technical organization by planning and conducting the analysis and design of highly complex business problems
  • Preparing design specifications for system changes (Functional Specification Designs)
  • Performing data analysis to support projects and end-user research
  • Providing technical support and guidance to end-users
  • Working with user groups to provide training, resolve questions, assess user needs, and recommend changes
  • Creating metadata for EIW Customer data elements
  • Reviewing and providing input to System Test Plan components and test scripts
  • Providing project tracking and support for technical development staff during project development/issue resolution efforts

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of application development and implementation experience
  • 1+ year of data warehouse experience
  • 3+ years of SQL experience
  • 3+ years of experience leading the requirement design process with both technical and business partners

Desired Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Exposure to Wells Fargo data warehouses such as: EIW, BMG, MDSS, Hemisphere, IMS, SMS, or CMODS
  • Knowledge and understanding of data mapping, mining, or modeling
  • 3+ years of Teradata experience

Other Desired Qualifications
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver multiple concurrent projects or large scale individual projects
  • 3+ years of experience writing SQL queries to perform complex data analysis independently using Teradata
  • Experience with data models and data relationships
  • Experience with Ab Initio tools (Metadata Hub, DQE, EME)
  • Experience with Customer Data
  • Strong communication, organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Knowledge of SDLC
