Internship Summary:

As a key part of our Business Development effort, you will be responsible for developing Vigilant's sales pipeline. The successful Business Development Intern will be able to improve data integrity, profile accounts, refine our message and build strategic techniques to penetrate new accounts with the goal of setting up qualified meetings that result in new business opportunities for our team.

This role combines huge opportunities for a long term role in B2B/SaaS Sales upon graduation or other teams within our organization and network and you'll gain hands-on experience and training!

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure data-integrity through research and account knowledge
  • Collaborate to create sales and marketing initiatives
  • Building out a rich understanding of target accounts using a CRM and other sales technologies.
  • Discover, contact, and qualify high-value prospects, moving them through the pre-sales pipeline through creativity, research, market analysis, and persistent outbound exploration.
  • Continually track progress and provide weekly and daily reports and forecasts.
  • Develop an understanding of public data solutions and be able to position our products in enterprises
  • Develop industry familiarity and business acumen to better position the company's product to potential sales opportunities

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Sophomores, Junior and Seniors only
  • Demonstrated record of high academic achievement (any major can apply if there is an interest in Business Development/SaaS Sales)

NOTE: This is a great opportunity for someone to learn and gain experience, but it is not a paid position.

Hours for this position are flexible, but we hope you'll be ready to commit at least 15 hours a week to working with us. Short of that, you'll be able to be involved regularly enough to really benefit. Start and end dates are also flexible.
