The Partner Marketing Specialist position is responsible for partner go-to-market planning, co-marketing campaign execution, events management and partner enablement. This role will own all marketing elements necessary to bring strategic and channel partners successfully to market to generate sales and realize joint customer successes. The Partner Marketing Specialist will collaborate with partners, business development, sales and product marketing to succeed.
+ Serve as the primary marketing contact between Vertex and designated partners.
+ Support partner go-to-market planning for designated partners to ensure successful launches for partner integrations and co-marketing initiatives.
+ Create effective marketing content for co-marketing campaigns including web content, product integration videos, webinars, joint customer case studies, solution whitepapers, etc.
+ Own the coordination of partner marketing activities for events, partner webinars, joint email campaigns, etc.
+ Build partner recruitment and enablement programs for strategic, technical and channel partners.
+ Coordinate with internal marketing teams to ensure alignment with Vertex messaging.
+ Work with Sales to determine market needs and reception of partner activities.
+ Manage and track spending for your marketing activities.
+ Determine KPIs, report performance, evaluate ROI and recommend actions to improve future program performance.
+ Support department leadership and assist in other marketing-related activities as needed.
+ Maintain knowledge of industry trends by regularly monitoring relevant publications.
+ Travel for events and other partner efforts will be required (approx. 20% of time).
+ + Working knowledge of:
+ ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, etc.).
+ Marketplaces and eCommerce platforms (e.g. Magento, Shopify, etc.)
+ Software deployment methods (e.g. on-premise, cloud/SaaS, etc.).
+ Metric-oriented with a passion for analyzing products, competitors and market dynamics.
+ Ability to manage projects and make decisions across multiple opportunities and priorities.
+ Strong presentation skills to audiences of various size and make-up.
+ Customer-focused with a strong interest in speaking with customers regularly.
+ Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
+ Highly motivated, self-starter with exceptional organizational skills.
+ Quick learner with a 'roll up the sleeves' approach and incredible attention to detail.
+ Relentless optimism and strong work ethic.
+ A proven track record of success in a fast moving, technical environment.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages is required.
+ Bachelors degree in Science, Business Administration or equivalent.
+ 2+ years of experience with marketing, business development and/or product management in high-tech, IT or enterprise software space.
+ Previous track record of successful marketing program execution with measurable results.
+ Experience developing and carrying out B2B marketing plans.
