Provides data analysis, data visualization, and all phases of survey execution in support of primary and secondary research projects managed by the Market Research and Intelligence group for the Office of Strategy, Product Management, Marketing, and Sales organizations. Responsible for executing large scale surveys such as the Annual Customer survey. Responsible for project research deliverables assigned by Market Research Manager, Sr. Market Research Analyst, and Office of Strategy leaders.
Key Deliverables-
+ Primary research execution and reporting (i.e., survey design, programming, in-depth interviewing, quant and qualitative data analyses, report writing, presentations) in support of Cx, product mgmt. & strategy stakeholders.
+ Data analyses and create data visualizations in support of market opportunity assessments using Power BI or Tableau tools.
+ Secondary research execution and reporting with data resources from research firms (e.g., Gartner & Forrester) and other technology market resources.
+ Facilitation of win/loss program and distribution of research assets in support of sales.
+ Facilitation of competitive news briefs and company wide distribution of research assets.
Primary Duties-
+ Survey design and analysis using Qualtrics survey tool;
+ Advanced survey reporting (analysis of textual data, trade off/price modeling to prioritize features of products, regression analyses to identify key drivers of purchase, discriminant analyses to identify customer segments) using Qualtrics-StatIQ, Python, SPSS, or Excel Stat add in.
+ Applies understanding of research methods to support the information needs of market research customers within the Vertex organization and assists Market Research leaders in designing and implementing research projects.
+ Independently coordinates and executes primary customer research projects (qualitative and quantitative) in support of proprietary information requests. Takes ownership of projects and keeps management appraised of project status and problem resolution through all phases.
+ Collaborates with team on procedural issues and communicates decisions as appropriate.
+ Understands and applies the principles of market intelligence processes and practices and assists Market Intelligence Leader in implementing Market Intelligence initiatives.
+ Independently gathers and organizes secondary research information.
+ Assists Product Managers by defining parameters for customer and market contact lists to support customer and market research projects. Is familiar with Vertex processes and sources of list information.
+ Maintains and contributes to a shared repository of market research and intelligence data.
+ Supports a culture of collaborative decision making and open sharing of information within the company.
+ Commits to understanding and applying the principles of market research processes and practices and assists leaders in implementing market research and intelligence initiatives.
+ Build job knowledge and skills by attending educational workshops or seminars, reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies; developing and/or maintaining proficiency in the latest personal productivity tools, and enhancing analytical and survey skills.
+ Be familiar with Zone to Win construct and how we operationalize for effective design and coordination of research projects.
+ Lead or participate in other projects or duties as assigned.
+ Occasional travel required (<10%)

+ Proficiency in Microsoft office packages.
+ Sufficient knowledge of business communications, including telephone, voicemail, and e-mail and operations of office machines, such as photocopier, scanner, and fax.
+ Education: BS in Business with Data Analytics Concentration or Statistics/Math Minor
+ Experience: Coursework/experience in data analysis, market research methods, market analysis and statistics is desirable.

+ Strong analytical, mathematical and writing skills.

+ Ability to synthesize data and communicate to non-experts.
+ Excellent oral, written and presentation skills required; able to make group presentations.
+ Strong project management skills; capable of balancing multiple projects simultaneously.
+ Experience SPSS, R or other statistical packages
+ Qualtrics including Text analytics and StatIQ
+ Power BI and/or Tableau
+ Dun and Bradstreet tools, Gartner, Forrester, and IDC a plus
+ Proven ability to stay on task, overcome obstacles, meet deadlines, and deliver results.
