This position will end effective six months from start date. Subsequent renewal of employment will be based upon performance review, progress towards research goals, and continuation of funding. Requires working flexible hours to include weekends, evenings, or early mornings. Requires working with rodent models.
Bachelor's degree in biology, biochemistry, life science or related field and four years of laboratory experience, or master's degree and two years of related experience. Previous employment in a neuroscience research lab. Extreme proficiency with excel and data management/analysis programs. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Proficient with at least one of the following: immunohistochemistry, rodent brain anatomy, rodent behavioral procedures, confocal microscopy, bright field microscopy.
More than the required experience in a research lab. Proficiency with other Windows programs (Word, PowerPoint, etc.). Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Proficiency with literature searches. Demonstrated ability to use simple Excel functions, write moderately complex formulas, and create macros.
