This position is responsible for supporting the global commercial business development activities. The role will investigate and analyze new opportunities for strategic fit with our business goals. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Commercial interface with regulatory, manufacturing and legal for promotional efforts 2. Identifies trendsetting ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements 3. Locates or proposes potential business deals by contacting potential partners; discovering and exploring opportunities 4. Provides support in potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials; evaluating options. 5. Develops negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of new venture with company strategies and operations; examining risks and potentials; estimating partners' needs and goals 6. Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential 7. Conducts market research and adjusts marketing strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions. 8. Monitors competitor products and sales activities. Establishes and maintains relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners 9. Assists with preparation of business development activity reports and presents to executive management. 10. Establishes and cultivates relationships with the pharma community, associations and key opinion leaders to support business development efforts KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS/ABILITIES & EXPERIENCE TO DO THE JOB: 1.Bachelors degree required in business or life sciences from an accredited college or university 2. 8-10 years experience in a business development role within the pharmaceutical industry 3. Global experience preferred 4. Energetic self-starter with detail and results orientation and ability to work effectively in a driven environment. 5. Possess a network of business development contacts 6. Comfortable managing all aspects of business development in a pharma environment 7. Outstanding verbal, written, multi-tasking and presentation skills required 8. Demonstration of sustained, high performance in current and past positions 9.
