Sandler Partners, one of the largest master agencies in the telecommunications brokerage and consulting industry, is seeking a Marketing Director to join our leadership team. Sandler Partners delivers best-in-class telecom, cloud, mobility, and continuity solutions from over 200 suppliers through a network of more than 9,000 sales partners to thousands of small, medium and enterprise organizations nationwide.

The Marketing Director is responsible for developing and implementing short- and long-term marketing strategies and tactics that measurably increase the Company s ability to recruit new partners and help existing partners sell more. The ideal candidate will couple strong managerial skills with a results orientation and thrive in a fast-paced, energetic environment while striving to meet high goals.

This position reports directly to the Managing Partner and is based in Hermosa Beach, California.

Education/Experience

Bachelor s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or a related area required. Advanced degree a plus.

Minimum 3 years related experience in a leadership capacity.

In-depth knowledge of marketing with demonstrated experience in effectively aligning a wide variety of marketing activities into a targeted marketing approach that grows sales and retention.

In-depth experience working with and knowledge of digital, SEO, web analytics, Google AdWords and web content management systems and social media marketing platforms required.

Demonstrated ability to develop and craft messages that effectively convey the brand s value proposition as well as adapt those stories for a variety of target audiences.

Demonstrated in-depth knowledge and experience developing and testing digital marketing strategies required.

Experience with developing metrics for measuring and reporting on the effectiveness of marketing initiatives, including budgeting, forecasting and measuring ROI.

Competencies/Skills

Demonstrated ability to successfully strategize, design and deliver comprehensive marketing planning for highly competitive growth organizations.

Demonstrated experience designing and implementing a wide variety of successful marketing campaigns.

Experience with CRM software and digital marketing tools and techniques.

Must possess the ability to select, train, develop and provide leadership to a marketing team.

Strong analytical and project management skills.

Strategic mindset with the ability to make difficult decisions.

Must be able to keep calm and perform in high-pressure atmosphere.

Excellent time management skills with the ability to effectively manage and prioritize a diverse workload.

Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. Must have the ability to productively work with many types of people, including difficult personalities and individuals with varying business experience and backgrounds.

Well-developed skills in Microsoft Office Suite and other Windows-based or Mac computer applications.

Must be motivated by working in a high-energy, very entrepreneurial, sales environment with the ability to do independent as well as team planning and goal setting.

Must have a high level of integrity and discretion with an ability to responsibly handle sensitive and confidential information.

Job Requirements:

Drive measurable revenue growth by identifying and implementing, primarily through digital marketing platforms and techniques, creative ways to attract new agents as well as help existing agents to successfully increase sales.

With a primary focus on highly creative and nimble digital, SEO and social media techniques, develop, implement and monitor a wide variety of marketing initiatives, outreach activities and event campaigns, continually striving to increase their reach and effectiveness.

Develop marketing metrics that forecast, and allow for reporting on, the return on investment (ROI) on marketing campaigns, initiatives, outreach activities and events.

Work closely with the Managing Partner and the Company s leadership to develop and implement short and long-term goals with metrics for marketing initiatives.Prioritize marketing projects and allocate resources accordingly.

Develop and implement a strategic marketing plan utilizing a wide variety of creative tactics to increase brand awareness that will drive both sales and retention, including identifying creative ways to further connect the brand s story so that it strengthens our value proposition with a wide variety of current and potential stakeholders.

Conduct market analysis and track competitors activities to identify challenges and opportunities for growth and recommend adjustments to marketing activities as appropriate.

Oversee and supervise the development and implementation of a wide variety of live and digital marketing events that are crucial to connecting, educating and facilitating sales growth for the Company s partner base.

Provide leadership to a team of 3-5 marketing professionals that will serve to ensure delivery of the marketing department s strategic goals and recruit as needed.

Identify and supervise outside professional resources that are needed as additional support for delivering on marketing initiatives.

Build and manage the Marketing department s budget.

Other related duties as requested by management.
