The VP of IT Strategy and Internal Customer Success will serve on the senior leadership team within RTIs Global Technology Solutions (GTS) Business Unit. The VP will be responsible for developing annual and multi-year technology strategies which outline the institutes direction for years to come. This position will design and build an integrated approach to enable success and ensure an integrated working relationship between IT and business units to deliver critical benefits across the entire enterprise. The VP of IT Strategy and Internal Customer Success will create a transparent approach to cost, quality and value of IT services and will drive alignment between technology and business demand. This is a key leadership position who will direct the teams in charge of providing direct support to RTIs Business Units. The VP is a forward-looking technology leader who can think strategically, anticipate future consequences and trends, set priorities and make critical decisions to help RTI and GTS achieve its goals. This position will work very closely with senior leadership across the institute and reports directly to the CIO. Key Responsibilities: Lead and develop strategic, tactical and operational initiatives. Leading the articulation of GTS strategy. Leading operational planning & performance measurement: including drafting and maintaining the Operational Plan itself; measuring GTS performance over time against the Plans targets for customer success. Contributing to thought leadership, including managing the organization in continuously iterating, learning and improving. Operational responsibility for core customer projects: overseeing resource allocation and implementation of core (non-investment) processes, IT, accounting, payroll, legal and web services. Required Qualifications: Education: Undergraduate degree or NANO degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or a related field. MBA or related advanced degree is preferred. Knowledge and experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience in technology leadership positions with a strong track record in strategic leadership and management. Strategic vision and analysis: the ability to think strategically, anticipate future consequences and trends, set priorities and make smart decisions to help RTI and GTS achieve its goals. Action-oriented, entrepreneurial, flexible, and innovative approach to operational management. Knowledge of the management, legal and regulatory challenges of non-profits. Demonstrated knowledge of current and emerging technologies and the ability to apply those technologies to business needs.
