Job Description Position Summary: The EDI Analyst will act as an individual contributor providing day-to-day support of integrated line of business application operations. The essential functions of the EDI analyst are: level 2 support, quality assurance testing, and PFS EDI development. The primary objective of the EDI Analyst role will be to support PFS IT with the goal of ensuring integrated application performance is stable and aligned with operational service levels. The EDI analyst will also participate in design, configuration, testing, and training to ensure project delivery meets or exceeds time, quality, and customer satisfaction standards. The EDI analyst will interact directly with PFS business users and PFS customers in a professional manner. This role will contribute to the improvement of system support, system development, and project deployment processes by embracing a culture of operational excellence and customer focus. Primary Tasks & Responsibilities: Understand PFS core business, operational process flows, and related IT systems capabilities Follow PFS IT project management methodology and perform PFS IT administrative duties Build documentation such as business problem definitions, requirements documents, solution design specs, mapping specs, business process maps, and training documents Independently manage EDI support tickets: troubleshoot errors impacting systems, prioritize and execute tasks to severity levels, communicate updates, and provide professional, timely escalations Consistently communicate with key stakeholders while setting clear expectations about status, schedule, and root cause Mentor level 1 support, contribute to the knowledge base, and build automation tools Participate in maintenance responsibilities, such as production monitoring, file maintenance, and tracing where files are in the EDI lifecycle Coordinate tasks and projects with partner IT departments and business teams Test, troubleshoot, develop, and maintain configuration, code, maps, and processes Build, present, confirm, and execute test plans; provide professional testing status updates to both PFS and PFS customers Participate in test readiness reviews, participate in design reviews, and conduct audits of test programs Promote code from development and production following PFS IT policies and procedures Collaborate with various business teams to improve efficiencies and speed of internal operations by improving process and/or system capabilities Recommend process and system enhancements based on analysis, experience, and intuition Conduct and present root cause analysis for repetitive issues or major issues Participate in on-call after hour support Knowledge & Skill Requirements: Intermediate analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills Experience providing day-to-day EDI support (reprocessing files, modifying X12 or flat files, documenting/training, notifying teammates when there are data quality or mapping issues, etc.) Solid Microsoft Office skills (collaboration with Skype, building mapping specs in Excel, writing professional technical documentation in Word, sharing notes in OneNote or Word, etc.) Coachable, willing to learn on the job, and willing to offer feedback/advice The ability to create, troubleshoot, and maintain EDI maps Understanding of EDI concepts including transaction set structure, standards compliance, and communication concepts is a plus Experience with EDI translator is a plus Experience writing and running queries against relational SQL database(s) is a plus Working knowledge of AS2, SFTP, and other communications protocols is a plus Education & Experience: Bachelors Degree, Associate Degree with 2 years of IT experience, or 4 years of IT experience Academic or professional experience in requirements analysis and design, or systems implementations Knowledge of EDI concepts including transaction set structure and X12 standards compliance is a plus Academic or professional experience developing SQL and Unix/Linux scripts is a plus Supply chain/warehousing/distribution education or experience is a plus Working knowledge of Warehouse Managements System (WMS) is a plus V83ctLwgEP * The salary listed in the header is an estimate based on salary data for similar jobs in the same area.
