Description



As our Business Development Marketing Coordinator, you will be providing direct support to the Marketing Director, VP of Marketing, digital marketing team, internal customers and independent advisors across the country. With your exceptional customer service and time management skills, you will have the opportunity to thrive in a highly regulated industry. The Marketing Coordinator role is strategic and hands-on requiring creativity, flexibility, creative writing, reliability and problem solving skills. Regular duties include customizing template material for advisors, driving sales by implementing marketing campaigns for numerous advisors at one time, helping to develop new material and gathering valuable feedback from the field and sales team. The ideal candidate is highly organized with a great attention to detail, thrives in a fast pace environment and adapts well to new situations and change.

Responsibilities



Primary Responsibilities: Business Development Marketing Coordination
  • Work with Marketing Director to implement, maintain and update Financial Center (FC) strategic work plans
  • Coordinates FC calls providing reminders, updating reports and tracking of projects amongst various support departments
  • Support FCs through employer group development opportunities and implementation
  • Provide internal marketing support to Business Development Officers & Business Development Specialists
  • Update and distribute monthly FC blotter and employer group numbers
  • Work with Marketing Director to coordinate, implement and administer all customized business development marketing campaign material for individual advisors, FC advisors and strategic distribution groups
  • Work directly with advisors to process and implement customized business development campaigns based on territory and opportunity
  • Assist in coordinating and planning business development campaign. Follow up with advisors who attend webinars in an effort to engage them in the campaign.
  • Conduct outbound calls to advisors to engage them in marketing campaigns and/or monitoring success of marketing efforts
  • Administer and fulfill state educational and nonprofit associations conferences for FCs, including coordination of exhibition, speaking proposal submission, attendees pre and post mailings and marketing materials
  • Maintain and track expenses on a number of different projects using Excel
  • Assist advisors with purchases from PlanMember print & promo stores. Process Bucks/commission deductions for various projects.
  • Create surveys to gauge satisfaction with the department, materials, service, etc., as well as material effectiveness
  • Track & manage the annual route cycle/schedule of template marketing material as well as all material created for advisors
  • Provide marketing support for 3rd parties
  • Hours vary depending on territory support

Qualifications



Qualifications
  • Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook
  • Knowledge of Access, PowerPoint, InDesign, Photoshop a plus but not required
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Strong written and oral phone skills (including creative writing)
  • Strong relationship building skills, customer first approach
  • Familiar with Copy and Proofreader s Marks
  • Ability to meet and maintain deadlines of simultaneous projects
  • Ability to work in a team environment with Creative Services, Business Development/Sales Support, Product Development, Financial Advisors and Compliance** Due to company growth, territory and responsibilities are subject to change

Education

  • B.A. or B.S with marketing, communication and/or psychology emphasis
  • Financial services and/or retirement planning experience preferred from outside or through Service Center
  • Series 6 Securities license required or willing to obtain within 6 months
  • Series 63 Securities license optional
