The mission of our Data Analyst Specialist is to participate in the ongoing process to improve the data collection and reporting mechanisms necessary to facilitate patient care. In this role, you will be responsible for providing patient records, evaluating departmental performance and performing strategic planning. You will utilize your ability to work in a team by providing analytical support to management. You must also be able to provide education and guidance in the integration of information systems functions throughout the department. Job Alerts Minimum of three (3) yearsadministrative experience with demonstrated ability in computer applications. Current knowledge of related hardware, software and applications. Maintains and updates entry and computer skills; resolves software issues, as needed. Uses a variety of computer applications and user defined and advanced user defined reporting systems. Troubleshoots software problems and communicates with vendors to resolve. Recommends new software applications which may enhance operations. Produces reports Cooperates with managers and staff to develop and produce appropriate data and collection tools. Produces financial and operational reports which are accurate concise, and understandable; reviews reports to ensure validity and reliability. Assists management with ongoing evaluation of departmental productivity and opportunities for efficiency improvements. Prepares clear presentation exhibits. Addresses multi-entity issues pertaining to server software. Maintains expertise related to the multi-entity use of server software. Serves as a resource for multiple sites/departments related to block definition, report writing, data base maintenance and problem solving. Serves as contact person between vendor technical support and site/ departmental user. Organizes work to meet organizational needs. Coordinates multiple requests and seeks assistance in task prioritization from management, when appropriate. Assists in developing short/long term action plans including goals and objectives for technology and implementation projects including resource requirements, training requirements and completion schedules. Ensures an effective day-to-day work planning and time management. Identifies and interfaces with members of organization who can provide additional data as required, e.g., information systems, finance, etc. Responds quickly to customer requests; anticipates delays and other problems and keeps the Assistant Director informed appropriately. Participates in the education of new staff members, as well as ongoing educational programs for all staff and integrates knowledge into performance improvement activities and clinical practice. Participates in/attends in-service and continuing education programs. Prepares or arranges for effective educational materials for use in staff education.
