PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide support to Cocktail Servers by cleaning tables, assisting with serving guests, and keeping side stations and service areas clean and well-stocked. Set and reset tables before, during, and after service; pre-bus and bus tables before, during, and after, while assisting servers with service steps when necessary, including pouring water and serving condiments Greet guests in a positive, friendly manner, and exemplifying MGM SHOW standards Actively market venue; which includes participating in marketing requirements and outings, including but not limited to: Assist in developing restaurant database through networking and completing data cards Build and establish personal clientele list Weekly table reservations (3) to (4) organic posts to one of the following social platforms with information provided by the marketing team: Facebook, Instagram, and Instagram Stories Sharing of venues Facebook posts onto their own channels for branding and awareness Posting and engaging (liking and commenting) with the venue?s social media posts, as well as engaging with review sites, such as Yelp Stock towels in work area with proper concentration of sanitizing solutions Set up bus carts for the removal of dishware for dining area Ensure separation of china, glasses, and silver into correct bus tubs and deliver tubs to respective dishwashing areas Keep glassware polished and portable areas stocked Keep side stations stocked and cleaned Ensures machines and equipment are cleaned properly Work as liaison between kitchen and serving staff, conveying guest issues Load/unload linens when needed Perform all opening and closing duties, based upon shift assignment Clean and maintain equipment, tools, and supplies ? ensuring items are sanitary and in good working order Communicate with management and service team to fulfill and address any issues or needs requested by guests or other employees Participate in modeling, presentations, and promotional events and programs throughout the casino and resort May perform in public relations capacity, representing venue and MGM National Harbor at on- and off-site special events, which may require designer or special wardrobe and multiple costume changes Perform other job-related duties as requested SUPERVISION: N/A MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Minimum two (2) years? experience a busser or six (6) months experience in a fine dining establishment Effectively communicate in English, both oral and written forms At least 21 years old PREFERRED: Current or previous modeling experience Previous marketing experience Previous experience in a similar resort environment Previous experience using social media platforms, especially with utilization for branding and/or marketing CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Proof of eligibility to work in the United States Gaming registration as required by the state of Maryland KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Ability to work as a part of a team in a high-stress and high-volume environment Ability to work in and adapt to a dynamic and frequently changing environment Ability to adhere to and execute established department policies and procedures Working knowledge of spirits, wine, and food Ability to work under pressure while being able to pay attention to details Excellent customer service skills Ability to maintain professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance, adhering to department and company standards Possess interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both oral and written forms WORKING CONDITIONS: Indoor working conditions with hot and cold surfaces, steam, and wet floors Varied shifts, including weekends and holidays Moderate to high noise levels Physical ability to access all areas of the restaurant, withstand prolonged standing, stretching, bending, kneeling, lifting and carrying items, that may include delicate china and glassware, weighing at least 50 pounds *This is not intended to include every duty or responsibility of the job nor is it intended to be an all-inclusive list of the skills and abilities required to do this job.
