Job Description

Job Title: Solution Architect - Informatica Position

Type: Full Time

Location: New York-New Jersey with 40% national travel

Reports To: COO

Summary/ Objective

As a Solution Architect you will be responsible for designing, describing, and managing solution engineering in relation to specific business problems as well as driving and introducing the overall technical vision.

You will be responsible for full life cycle solution architecture, implementation and knowledge-based training on Data Governance frameworks as required by our clients supporting a wide variety of business functions. You will provide technical expertise on Informatica Data Governance tools (IDQ, BDQ, EDC, Axon, PDM, DDM, IICS, and Secure@Source, and will contribute through hands-on implementation of new applications and enhancements to existing systems.

Duties and Responsibilities

The solution architect is accountable for the technical success of client projects, including solution-level decisions and analysis of their impact on the overall business goals and outcomes.

  • Works independently or as part of a team on the design, documentation, and delivery of project deliverables
  • Works with Business Analysts, Data Analysts, and Data Stewards to understand business requirements
  • Work with the offshore team and client teams to assure technical solution functionality
  • Performs analysis and documentation for system design as well as on-going documentation of policies/best practices
  • Performs testing of each project deliverable to ensure full compliance with client expectations
  • Provides technical support during client testing, working with technical and with business users as required to provide troubleshooting and solutions to technical issues
  • Provide on-going post-implementation technical support of applications
  • Creates user-end documentation and user training
  • Be a stakeholder and Participate in proposals and RFPs
  • Ensuring solutions align with the organization direction and offerings
  • Meeting the requirements of all stakeholders
  • Solution architect's aim is to ensure that all stakeholders' requirements are considered. Stakeholders must be regularly informed about product development processes, costs, and budgeting.

Position Requirements

  • Strong skills in team leadership and building positive business partner relationships
  • Strong networking skills and ability to work across multiple organizations to accomplish diverse goals
  • Demonstrated ability to influence critical business outcomes in a matrix based, global environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills to effectively communicate with both business and technical development teams
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
  • Familiarity with data privacy laws and controls (IE: GDPR, VPPA)
  • Experience working with data & analytic solutions and the science behind them, either as a builder/provider of these solutions or as a client that uses them
  • Familiarity with the trends and opportunities in the data governance, analytics & big data space
  • Experience in thought leadership in emerging master data management technologies including machine learning, AI and data science to improve data quality and management
  • Experience and deep knowledge of metadata management and tools
  • Experience with Collibra and/or Alation preferred
  • Mule and Apigee experience preferred

Working Environment/Travel Requirements

This is a remote working position and you will be expected to work out of a home office with high speed internet and phone connection to enable seamless virtual presence. This position requires up to 40% national travel.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and/or equivalent work experience
