The Marketing Sciences team drives the analytic engine that supports our account management, planning teams, and clients to make informed decisions to improve media ROI and manage media optimization. We drive a system of working that puts data, analytics, and technology at the core of every media planning decision.

POSITION SUMMARY

In the Analytic Consulting arm of the Marketing Sciences team, you will leverage your econometrics, statistical, and coding skills to build predictive models of brand health, web conversion, and sales KPIs to optimize media plans for end clients and IPG agency partners (UM, Acxiom, Initiative) across the country and across the globe. You will build presentations, analytical dashboards, and optimization scenarios to help clients achieve improved ROI on their marketing investments

As a Manager Analytic Consulting, you will manage a number of Marketing Mix Modeling and custom analytics engagements (MTA, Decision Trees, Leading Indicators). You will act as a key interface for clients and will work closely with Account Management and Research teams to ensure projects are delivered efficiently on time.. You will be responsible for determining or executing prescribed analytical approaches, overseeing data collection, running models, insights interpretation, and media simulations/optimizations. This position is critical in hands-on delivery of studies and provision of actionable insights and recommendations in order to drive high level client satisfaction.

A successful candidate will engage with clients to connect in-market consumer response to media with data driven analytic insights to recommended outcomes. Curiosity and passion for driving learning and insights through advanced analytic techniques is a must.

The position reports to the Director, Marketing Sciences and is expected to lead on-shore and off-shore analysts.

Responsibilities you can expect !

In Marketing Sciences, you will be exposed to a wide array of experiences and build a diverse skillset. A typical week may include:

  • Managing multiple projects and timelines
  • Managing project teams
  • Extracting transform and loading large data sets using Python, R, SQL, and AWS Redshift
  • Ensuring data integrity & hygiene process are in place and identifying and solving data issues
  • Building the more complex or fast turnaround statistical models
  • Building and presenting clear story driven presentation of model results
  • Recommending and executing media plan simulations and optimizations
  • Build and update dashboards
  • Supporting new business pitches
  • Becoming an expert in new client industries and brands
  • What we expect!

  • Experience running Marketing Mix Models and client engagements,
  • A successful candidate is a self-starter and can manage multiple priorities and has an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • 5+ years in advanced marketing analytics
  • Bachelor/Master?s degree in Economics/STEM (specialization in Econometrics, or Statistics, Operations Research) or Business discipline
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Intense attention to detail
  • Experience using SAS, Python, R, or SQL
  • Familiarity with ad tech ecosystems, media planning, and data visualization tools
  • Expertise/exposure to advanced analytic techniques such as multivariate/logistic regression analysis, Bayesian shrinkage, ensemble models, factor analysis, sales forecasting, advertising effectiveness, media simulation and optimization.
  • Experience with Tableau or any other dashboarding & data visualization tool
  • Experience with industry tools: Syndicated Sales (Nielsen/IRI Polk, JD Power), Media Consumption (Nielsen, Arbitron, Comscore), Paid Media Monitoring (Kantar, AdViews), Social Media Monitoring (NetBase, Sysomos), 1st Party (CRM), Digital Ad Server (DCM, Sizmek) & Site Served, Website Analytics (Omniture Site Catalyst or Google 360)
  • Firm grasp of media metrics in both digital and traditional: Media impressions, GRP, CPV), and Measurement analytics.
  • Experience working with off-shore hub teams desirable
  • Travel: Local travel on occasion
