To accelerate ION's market expansion, we are seeking a Head of Marketing Communications with experience in tech solutions in the Capital Markets space.
This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious, energetic and disciplined professional with a successful track record. As the Head of Marketing Communications, you will define together with the CMO the communications strategy and content marketing programs that promote, enhance and protect the brand reputation and support marketing plans and business objectives.
Reporting to the CMO, ION Markets, your primarily responsibility is to define together with the CMO the ION Markets communications plan and editorial calendar, inclusive of all PR, social and digital media, client innovation and awards.

Lead the development and tactical execution of content marketing initiatives which drive traffic, engagement, and leads to deliver sales and customer retention.
Collaborate closely with program leads and teams, and provide counsel on milestones, announcements and ongoing thought leadership.
Plan, write or collaborate in the writing process, edit, and distribute content marketing and communications materials, including case studies, press releases, newsletter articles, advertising, web-based content, webinars, email communications social media posts, and other material as requested.
Manage PR agency as applicable. Develop and manage relationships with media and relevant associations.
Collaborate with business leaders and product marketing team to conduct research as needed to create content relevant to the target audience
Collaborate/drive the planning and creation of content related to customer events and industry trade shows.
Produce high quality content internally that is relevant to specific business segments including vertical markets, buyer personas and stages along the customer journey.
Continually audit and update web and collateral content as product or company information changes.

Education: B.A. or B.S. in Communications/Journalism/Marketing or equivalent experience.
Experience: Minimum 7 years of experience in communications and/or content marketing. B2B experience desired.
Technical skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Copywriting, social media, digital asset management (DAM) and web content management (CMS) experience desired. Versed in SEO as well.
Excellent oral, written, and communication skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple competing tasks and projects and meet related deadlines.
Strong conceptual thinker with an editorial mindset that seeks to understand what content audiences want/consume and how to create it.
Assist with capturing and integrating voice of the customer into marketing communications.
