Google's projects, like our users, span the globe and require managers to keep the big picture in focus while being able to dive into the unique engineering challenges we face daily. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.

Marketing Works is a emerging product group that uses big data and Machine Learning to transform Google Marketing. It has a start-up environment where entrepreneurial skills are heavily utilized. There is a lot of from-scratch development and many opportunities to improve efficiency.

As Technical Program Manager, you'll help this team scale. It will be your responsibility to balance the innovation of the Marketing Works group with delivering on commitments for projects that are already in progress.

From developing and maintaining our data centers to building the next generation of Google platforms, we make Google's product portfolio possible. Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years in technical program management, using Agile methodology.
  • 5 years of experience implementing technical business to business programs and feature prioritization.
  • Experience working crossfuntionally with UX, product, and engineering teams.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in ecommerce process optimization.
  • Experience working as a software engineer.
  • Ability to navigate with ambiguity, solve complex problems and scale effectively across a large and highly distributed organization.
  • Manage and grow Content Management System and Publishing platform that is used by marketing websites across Alphabet.
  • Manage cross-functional efforts across internal teams.
  • Manage annual and quarterly sprint planning, risk mitigation, execution, and operations.
  • Process, project, and feature prioritization.
  • Customer communication and stakeholder management.
