Position Summary:
Maintain a portfolio of one or more hardware and/or software technologies, products, and/or processes including standards of use, life cycles, and/or product evaluation and integration.
Develop and maintain an in-depth pool of technical advice and expertise to provide information and guidance of the infrastructure assigned.
Specifically, this Analysts technology portfolio focuses on Microsoft SQL Server (and components or tools closely related to SQL Server), and Microsoft IIS.
Required Education:
Bachelor's degree in in Computer Science, Information Technology or other job related degree, OR
4 ADDED years of job related work experience, OR
2 ADDED years of job related experience plus an associates degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other job related degree
Required Work Experience:
4 years of specific knowledge of the technology(s), product(s), and/or processes to be supported.
Technologies requiring this specific knowledge include Microsoft SQL Server (multiple versions, including versions from 2008 to current, and future/planned-release versions), Microsoft IIS (multiple versions), and their deep integration with Microsoft Windows Server (multiple versions).
1 year directly supporting the technology(s), product(s), and/or processes. (may be concurrent)
Technologies requiring this direct support include Microsoft SQL Server (multiple versions), Microsoft IIS (multiple versions), and their deep integration with Microsoft Windows Server (multiple versions).
1 year directly supporting two or more of the following Microsoft SQL Server tools:
Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services
Microsoft SQL Server Database Management Objects
Microsoft SQL Server Business Intelligence Development Studio / Data Tools
Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio
Microsoft SQL Server Migration Assistant
1 year experience development using PowerShell
1 year experience performing web development
1 year experience in developing SQL queries
1 year experience managing security configurations for your technology, including ARS and NIST controls, and guidance by appropriate STIGs
Required Skills and Abilities:

Job Description:
40% Perform technical interviews and analysis with vendors and/or stake holders to develop and track the road map/life cycle of infrastructure for hardware, software, products, and/or processes. May schedule regular meetings, conference calls, or on-site visits with vendors and/or stake holders to keep abreast of current technology(s), products, and/or processes. May review with vendor and/or stake holders, known upcoming activities associated with their specific technology(s), product(s), and/or processes. Research and stay abreast of all information that may impact the lifecycle of any supported technology, product, and/or process.
40% Facilitate the establishment, implementation, and maintenance of best practices, policies, standards, and desktop procedures to be used by the operational units to guide the use of each technology solution or product.
20% Establish and maintain effective working relationships and open communication with vendors, operations, architecture, and/or management staff.
Requirement:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Tech/Systems, or other job related field, OR Associates degree in Computer Science, Information Tech/Systems or other job related degree PLUS 2 years job-related work exp. OR: 6 Years OR 4 years of job related work experience: 8 Years
Specific knowledge of Microsoft technologies, products, processes: 4 Years
Experience directly supporting the technologies, products, processes (may be concurrent): 1 Years
Hands on exp with balancing security/compliance with customization of OS, apps and browser technologies
Knowledge of a variety of information technology products and solutions
Microsoft deployment toolkit (MDT), GPO administration, SCCM and/or BigFix
Scripting skills in PowerShell, VBScript or other languages used in OS automation
