Description
Improve strategic prioritization and operational effectiveness of the growing Technology & Service Provider (T&SP) Research & Advisory Group, currently 250 associates. Oversee continuous improvements in operational execution, planning resource investments to support future content needs, and deep customer usage and financial analysis to target growth opportunities. Role reports to SVP, T&SP - Research & Advisory.
Responsibilities
* Partner with T&SP leadership to best execute/drive continuous improvement with respect to:
+ (Content) Must Have Research - What Research we should create, how much of it, and making sure we execute
+ (Interactions) Compelling Interactions - How to scale interactions with our clients
+ (People) Performance - How to drive Recruiting, Talent Development and Performance Management in the T&SP R&A Group
+ (Budget) Develop budget recommendations
+ (Sales & Service) Develop programs to scalably engage with Sales and Service to drive growth (e.g.: proofs of concept) and retention (engagement, capped retention rate), specifically $750M of Contract Value
* Drive Operations Reviews for T&SP R&A Group presented to EMT and Gene Hall
* Manage practice budget, working closely with Finance partners. Track T&E, drive / enforce needed adjustments through the business to align with expectations
* Develop analysis of customer, financial, and operational reports to identify strategic priorities and needed improvements
* Identify opportunities for process improvements and develop innovative solutions that drive operational efficiency and improved client retention and NCVI
* Work with practice leaders and HR partners (generalists, recruiters) to identify and eliminate barriers if metrics (e.g.: time to fill open positions, new hire ramp to productivity, associate retention rates) are outside acceptable ranges.
* Cultivate strong and mutually respectful relationships across the organization, including Sales, Product, and Service (EP, LP, and CP organizations)
* Identify and communicate proven best practices across T&SP R&A Group to ensure operational consistency and improve growth and execution
* Improved effectiveness of SVP, enabling time to coach Group Team Managers, work across business units, and guide longer-term strategy of the group
* Drive Practice leadership meetings - build the agenda, manage guest speakers, ensure execution of action items
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree
* 4-8 years of progressive business experience, preferably in a Financial Analytics, Strategy, Chief of Staff, or Business Operations role
* Experience developing strategic priorities and developing execution/metrics regimes to drive the priorities
+ Working with leaders to identify what is most important - strategic priorities
+ Designing the best ways to execute on the strategic priorities
+ Developing data and analysis to track execution and drive continuous improvement
* Analytical thought process - the ability to break down a complex problem into solvable components, and then finding the fact base to prove/disprove hypotheses about root causes of those components
+ Quantitative and Statistical Analysis skills - extracting key insights from large data sets; segmenting customers or behaviors into distinct groups which can be targeted for improvement.
* Experience managing multiple projects; demonstrated ability to own, manage and complete projects. Excellent organization skills. Time Management and Task flexibility. Ability to multitask and change priorities as needed.
* Written, visual, and verbal communications - ability summarize complex data sets into elegantly simple summaries which focus attention on the most important causes of a challenge. Strength in typical delivery modes required: Excel (details), PPT (summary), and verbal presentation (team/partner review)
* Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships up, down, and across the organization, via influence without formal management authority
* Knowledge and experience in working with Gartner R&A data resources (GEAR, PowerBI, OBIEE dashboards, BIC) preferred
Location
Ideally in Arlington, VA, but other locations in NA and Western Europe will be considered.
