Business Development Representative
French Gerleman is seeking a business development sales representative to support our new business development program at our corporate office in St. Louis, Missouri. The primary role of this position is to assist in maintaining and growing ongoing business within unassigned house accounts as well as promoting French Gerleman products to new and underdeveloped accounts.

Will be main point of contact for new customers coming in by way of cold calls, counter walk-ins, web order entry inquiries, new credit application customers or other marketing lead initiatives.Proactively working to develop low spend accounts to qualifying levels across all FG divisions and Industrial initiatives.
Gathering information on daily walk in customers and unassigned accounts proactively, reaching out to them to profile the account, check on customer experience, as well as identify any additional needs.
Follow up on non-customer web orders, prioritizing by geographic location to identify additional needs.
Follow-up on leads resulting from web-based clicks and manufacturers lead to verify and validate opportunities to be passed onto sales team members.
Proactively calling on new credit applications to identify account opportunities and key decision makers.
Promoting FG events to appropriate customers focusing on getting the right customers to appropriate events.
Conduct FG customer surveys for relevant topics and initiatives and post-sale follow-up to gauge customer satisfaction levels and provide feedback for continuous improvement in all areas including Inside Sales, Outside Sales, Counter and Drivers.

Must be able to handle a variety of customer interactions (phone, e-mail, onsite) and communicate professionally and respond to multiple inquiries.
Ability to develop and manage relationships with small to mid-sized accounts and prospective customers.
Ability to document, track and follow-up on customer inquiries and respond in a timely and professional manner.
Must have a high level of urgency, attention to detail and customer service.
Prior experience in Telesales or Inside Sales is preferred.
Understanding of social media and online ordering tools is a plus.
