The successful candidate will work with and support our scientists in a dynamic, fast-paced environment to validate our proprietary design platform and rapidly advance our technology.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and construct expression plasmidsProduce and purify proteins from mammalian, bacterial, and/or yeast culture systems as appropriateWork independently to design, interpret and troubleshoot experiments and communicate results to the team Depending on candidate interest, experience and project priorities, the individual may also assist in the development and execution of a variety of biochemical/biophysical and functional in vitro assays to characterize candidate proteinsExperience and QualificationsB.S or M.S. in Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry or similar field with a minimum of 2 years biotech/pharma industry experience required.Facility with basic molecular biology and cloning techniques including PCR, ligation and ligation independent cloning requiredExperience with protein expression from transient mammalian cultures and/or bacteria; protein purification by affinity chromatography, SEC, etc. Familiarity with protein characterization techniques (SDS-PAGE, Western Blot, biochemical assays such as ELISA, etc.)Ability to work with minimal supervision to design experiments, interpret data and troubleshoot problemsAttention to detail, ability to multi-task, and strong communication skills are required
