Fareportal is seeking a Social Media Manager to join our MarketingTeamin New York City.

We are currently seeking a Social Media Strategistwho has a strong background working with e-commerce, B2C products, and platforms. The ideal candidate will work with the social team to develop, execute and maintain social media programs to stimulate traffic and engagement from consumers utilizing all dominant social media platforms. Reporting to the VP Branding and Communication.

Responsibilities:

    Work with Social team to develop, execute and maintain social media programs to stimulate traffic and engagement from consumers utilizing all dominant social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest).Work collaboratively with Branding & Communications team to align Social calendars with overall marketing calendar (weekly, monthly, annual)Cross channel collaboration in support of Branding/Communications initiatives.Maintain SEO First orientation for all Social content.Advocate for customer education-focused Social content (e.g., Senior Travel, Military Travel, Tips for International Travelers, etc.).Daily posting and engagement with users on all Social portals for assigned brand(s)Creation and management of Twitter chats, periodic Instagram takeovers for assigned brand(s).Actively seek opportunities to re-post stories and articles created by Fareportal Content team.Actively seek opportunities to post in various travel-related channels.Actively seek opportunities to re-post content from aligned travel-related channels.Analyze and optimize channels against developed KPI's.Create, monitor and update reports on daily/weekly/monthly Social Media editorial calendar.Create, monitor and update reports on daily/weekly/monthly Social Media outcomes (traffic, engagement, bookings (as available).Campaign creation and management in support of Supplier Relations/Fareportal Media Group.

    Requirements

    Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Communications or similar, or equivalent experience.1+ years of Social Media marketing experience conceiving and implementing metric-driven programs to increase engagement across all dominant social media platforms.Familiarity with best practices associated with all dominant paid and unpaid social portal tactics.Experience in development and execution of contests/sweepstakes.Familiarity with principles and practices associated with SEO.Ability to synthesize information into use case for presentation of recommendations.Detail Oriented, team player, energetic.MS Office Proficient.Familiar with workflow management systems, (Mintent preferred but not required).Familiar with Adobe Creative Suite, Wordpress and Shutterstock preferred.
