Major tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Co-creates patient marketing strategy with the optimal combination of messages, education, and support.
  • Co-develop patient focused campaign messages, materials and support tools.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of the patient journey including needs, insights and the role of patient communications and support as part of the overall brand communication and marketing mix strategy.
  • Measures, evaluates, and adapts activities based on ongoing learning and assessment.
  • Partnering with multi-channel marketer and media group to develop a digital strategy that recognizes the challenges and opportunities of connecting with the patient audience.
  • Co-leads the external agency relationship to ensure alignment to strategy and delivery of high impact creative, copy and programs in a timely and compliant manner.
  • Work cross-functionally with other key partners and champion neovascular age-related macular degeneration patient marketing initiatives with internal and external customers.
  • Project manages key elements of the tactical launch plan for timely execution.
  • Monitor key performance metrics and recommends adjustment to strategy/tactics as needed.
  • We seek candidates with the following qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate will be proficient at uncovering customer based insights and leveraging this knowledge to drive the specific patient strategy and tactical plan.
  • A high level of analytical and conceptual ability in order to provide strategic focus and demonstrate a proven track record of strong execution and results.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy or Business related discipline required. An MBA or related Masters Degree highly preferred.
  • Must have a minimum of 4 years of pharmaceutical industry experience.
  • Requires a minimum of 3 years of US operational marketing experience in the pharmaceutical industry with focus on product/brand management.
  • Experience developing new campaigns and programs through all stages from concept to implementation.
  • Knowledge of key stakeholders, patient journey, and continuum of care.
  • Must have worked in cross-functional, matrixed environments with demonstrated success in delivering results through collaboration.
  • Requires experience leading relationships and providing clear direction to external agency partners.
  • Excellent business/commercial acumen.
  • The proven ability to use analytical skills and critical thinking to diagnosis business issues and incorporate into development or adjustment of marketing plans to achieve business results in a self-directed manner.
  • Experience establishing and cultivating relationships with key stakeholders and influencers required.
  • Exceptional communication skills (written, verbal and presentations), time management, planning, project management, organizational and negotiation skills.
  • Up to 30% travel.
