Position Overview

The Strategic Planning Analyst conducts research, prepares reports, and gives advice on feasibility, cost effectiveness, and regulatory conformance of long- and short-range strategic plans, proposals, special projects, and ongoing programs to achieve the organization's growth and profitability objectives.


  • Review month end results, promptly prepare business reports and coordinate monthly meetings as needed
  • Understand the performance of the business, compare results versus budget and previous month, and identify potential areas of opportunity
  • Optimize reports to provide better information to management and reduce execution time
  • Understand the current global and regional market dynamics including supply, demand and trade, prepare reports on a periodic basis, and perform detailed analysis of market trends to identify future opportunities, risks, and other factors of interest
  • Analyze capital expenditure projects, provide feedback to applicable teams, prepare material for authorization, and monitor the project's advances after approval
  • Provide support in merger and acquisition projects including coordinating due diligence activities, preparing financial models, and making presentations for management
  • Analyze horizontal / vertical business growth opportunities and divestments
  • Participate in the Company s strategic planning process
  • Support additional analysis as requested by different areas to improve performance of the company


  • Bachelor s degree in Business, Economics, or Finance
  • 3-5 years relevant experience
  • Intermediate to advance Microsoft Office Suite applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Exceptional strategic acumen, problem-solving skills, analytical capabilities, and leadership ability
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • Flexibility, openness to change, and ability to thrive in ambiguity
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Willingness to learn
