General Summary:

The Financial Planning& Analysis (FP&A) Analyst is accountable for preparing financial forecasting models, assisting with budget and strategic plan preparation, building and maintaining recurring reports for operations, and conducting ad hoc analytics. The FP&A Analyst will also serve as a business partner to a functional leader in the organization.

Responsibilities / Essential Duties:
  • Analyze company financials monthly, and research and explain material variances
  • Update and maintain weekly/monthly financial reports
  • Perform ad hoc analysis as needed for upper management
  • Assist with preparation and maintenance of annual budgets, monthly forecasts, and strategic plans
  • Assist with preparation of monthly and quarterly presentations for the board of directors
  • Automate and improve recurring tasks where feasible
  • Provide support for Accounting and Finance team and other departments as requested
  • Develop new and innovative solutions to complex problems
  • Analyze COGS, Revenue and Expense metrics monthly
  • Perform additional ad hoc analysis as assigned
Required Skills / Knowledge:
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral)
  • Ability to work well under pressure and confidently interact with executive leadership daily
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft applications, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Excellent modeling skills and detail oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Independent, strategic and creative thinker who is a strong collaborative team player and is willing to take on additional responsibilities as necessary
  • High degree of organizational skill requires the ability to balance and prioritize a multitude of requests, initiatives in various stages of completion
Education / Previous Experience:
  • Bachelor s degree in Finance or related field required
  • MBA preferred
  • 3+ year(s) of relevant experience
  • Software technology industry experience preferred
Work Conditions:
  • Professional office environment
  • Some travel may be required
