Company Info: YJP (Young Jewish Professionals) is seeking an Event Associate to join our team in New York. Job overview: Reporting to the Senior Leadership Team, as the Event Associate, Marketing/Media/Fashion Division, you will oversee all aspects of YJPs Marketing/Media/Fashion community. You will be responsible for planning and executing the content of monthly events and driving revenue through sponsorship, membership, and ticket sales.

Duties include:

  • Plan and execute monthly events (includes speakers/moderators, attendees, and content - we have an internal team of event coordinators who are responsible for all venue/catering/logistical details)
  • Confirm high-quality speakers for upcoming events
  • Continually learn about industries included in this division and keep up with industry news
  • Formulate and execute marketing & communications strategies for events (includes email campaigns, social media, press releases, etc.)
  • Ensure that revenue targets are met for each event through ticket sales and sponsorship (training will be provided on our sponsorship process)
  • Identify and contact appropriate attendees/potential members for each event to participate as Co-Chairs, Host Committee members, and/or ticket purchasers.
  • Use personal knowledge of the industry and our member/sponsor base to make appropriate connections when possible and assist members/sponsors with their goals.
  • Additional projects/duties may be assigned by Senior Leadership as needed.

  • Must be comfortable pitching and discussing pricing options with potential members/sponsors/attendees


  • Bachelors Degree and/or Equivalent Work Experience
  • Fundraising/sales experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with the Jewish calendar and traditions is a plus

This position is full-time and is located at YJPs headquarters in Midtown Manhattan.
