Summary/Objective: Responsible for the strategic direction and execution of marketing initiatives and processes for the Elastomeric Material Solutions division. Essential Functions: Responsible for the development and execution of strategies that deliver sales and earnings growth for the division, including identification and execution of M&A, alliances and JVs needed to achieve strategic objectives. Ensures R&D programs are well aligned with customer and market needs and there is clear resource alignment and prioritization between marketing and technology groups. Creates annual marketing plans that detail new product development, pricing, promotion, and development of distribution channels in target markets. (35%) Leads and manages the marketing function, including market development, product management, marketing communications and technical support. Ensures the use of rigorous marketing tools and best practices. (25%) Works closely with the Regional & Sales Directors to ensure alignment of sales and marketing initiatives and deployment of resources. (15%) Responsible for maintaining a highly skilled and motivated team of marketing professionals. Ensures training and development of employees. Required Education and Experience: Bachelor of Science degree in engineering/science 15 years of related technical marketing experience in a business-to-business relationship 7 years or more of leadership experience managing a staff of professionals Marketing experience must include working in business units with annual sales of $100 million or more Required Skills and Abilities: Demonstrated success with formal marketing systems and processes such as strategic planning, forecasting, competitive analysis, market research, new product development and launch, marketing communications, value pricing, etc. The candidate must have extensive experience working with international customers, including regular direct contact and travel to Europe and Asia.
