Business Development Engineering Sales

As the Business Development Engineering Sales, you ll direct and coordinate daily activities to promote OEM sales and support of manufacturing, products and engineering solutions, to achieve budgeted sales/profit, costs, financial metrics and customer satisfaction. You ll also develop, propose, and implement business strategy to gain market share and improve leadership for the targeted segment or account including competitive analysis of products, services and selling techniques, internal technical needs and capabilities. Our client will expect you to monitor target markets, identify new business opportunities, and propose/drive action plans to optimize the company s market penetration. Additionally, you ll identify strategic accounts and lead the implementation of specific plans to become supplier of choice.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all sales activities including development, strategy, and execution of the sales plan to meet Annual Operating Plan (AOP) sales numbers for the region.
  • Develop and call on leads/prospects and turn into customers.
  • Develop relationships with prospects and customers and drive new business and an active sales funnel.
  • Develop, prepare and present high quality sales presentations.
  • Use CRM to manage your business and enter all pertinent information (Account information, Contacts, Calls, Emails, Scheduled follow-ups and meetings, etc.).



Job Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 years experience in a sales or business development role.
  • Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, etc.), Business Administration, Marketing or equivalent work experience required.
  • Competence with Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Word, and Outlook.
  • Familiarity and direct experience with CRM.
  • Excellent understanding of Printed Circuit Board fabrication/Wire Harness/Box Build Business methods as well as the technical background to engage in capability discussions with Engineering, Quality and Procurement organizations.
  • Proven track record in generating profitable business growth in the Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) market.
  • Ability to travel when required.
  • Must meet the definition of U.S. Person under ITAR/EAR regulations.
