Vice President of Marketing and Communications large Miami, Florida nonprofit seeks aVice President of Marketing and Communicationsto develop, implement and manage the organization s marketing strategies and oversee the Marketing staff.

To be considered, you must have at least 10 years of corporate, agency or non-profit marketing and communications experience. You must also have:

  • At least five (5) years of supervisory experience.
  • A Bachelor's Degree.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including excellent grammar and engaging writing skills.
  • Knowledge of best practices and procedures related to public relations.
  • Proficiency using the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • The ability to travel periodically and work a flexible schedule including evenings/weekends for special events and/or emergencies.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required.

Your responsibilities as the VP of Marketingwill include engaging key audiences and telling the organization s story through a variety of creative methods, utilizing media, direct marketing, social networking, video, print, web, email, and television to support the institutional mission of education, research and service. You will also be:

  • Coordinating the development of publications and promotional materials.
  • Overseeing press releases to local, national and international media regarding events and programs and responding to questions from media.
  • Managing the marketing budget and creating comprehensive campaigns.
  • Managing the enterprise-wide brand strategy, including refining and tracking brand success metrics and integration of the brand into all communications.
  • Overseeing all Branding efforts and ensuring consistency with identified and approved brand messages, logos and graphics.
  • Maintaining and updating the Communications Policies and Branding Style Guide.
  • Overseeing the website and other social media outlets and developing and implementing an executive communications plan including email campaigns, social media, blog posts and speeches.
  • Managing and leading crisis communications for the organization.
