Amerisure is currently recruiting for a Financial Planning Analyst to join our team in Farmington Hills, MI.

Position Summary:

Collaborates with financial planning team to execute the companies planning process. Serves as a liaison between budget owners in developing key components of the planning process. Responsible for developing and documenting all planning assumptions.

Responsibilities:
  • Engage with internal stakeholders regarding key actions related to budget forecasting and operational annual and long-term plans.
  • Responsible for processing and distributing monthly general expense detail reports and preparing correcting journal entries to correct classifications errors.
  • Responsible for budget system administration including, but not limited to, maintenance, report writing and structure, uploads to/from the budget system and general ledger.
  • Develops reference material, user guides or other material to support improved corporate planning, budgeting, expense, and allocation monitoring.
  • Maintain all procedure documentation for planning process.
  • Maintain updated and accurate documentation for plan/forecast assumptions and calculations.
  • Analyze preliminary departmental budgets for completeness, accuracy, and conformance with established procedures, regulations, and organizational objectives.
  • Review plan/forecasts to analyze trends and perform a detailed variance analysis for all accounts to review with financial planning team.
  • Create financial modeling and tools to support the planning process and analysis.
  • Assist in preparation of presentations to senior leadership, Board of Directors, and other key leadership.
  • Seek ways to improve efficiency and processing related to the plan/forecast creation.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field.
  • 3 years accounting, finance or similar experience.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
  • Ability to build positive partnerships and work collaboratively with cross-functional business teams.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work to ensure timely deadlines.
  • Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and decision making skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively build relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
