The American Heart Association (AHA) has a great opportunity for a Director, Corporate and Community Markets & Programs in our Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) department!

This individual will provide leadership and management for developing and implementing the corporate and community market strategic vision and directing the implementation of strategies to meet ECC departmental impact goals, including: improving out-of-hospital sudden cardiac arrest survival rates, achieving revenue and training goals and contributing towards an increase in operational efficiency. The markets significantly contribute to the mission impact work of the ECC department and leads all aspects of campaigns and projects that support broad departmental objectives (across all markets) and builds equity for the AHA brand. It generates revenue of over $40M million annually via product sales and royalty and coordinates with National and Regional Corporate Relations and Major Gifts to deliver CPR sponsorships and increase sponsor engagement. The Director will be responsible for growing revenues and number of people trained as well as closely working with staff from other Departments across the AHA to ensure ECC initiatives are fully coordinated with overall AHA initiatives. Functions include: mentoring a staff of Marketing Managers and Coordinator, working with our alliance partner Laerdal, leading cross-functional market teams, budget monitoring, forecasting, data collection and analysis, establishing key partnerships, and ensuring all programs meet the high standards of the AHA. Other responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Develop, plan and collaborate with senior management throughout AHA to implement Corporate and Community programs. Work closely with VP Sales ECC
  • Creation and implementation of all downstream marketing activities in support of meeting ECC sales and training goals.
  • Serves as overall Team Leader for developing national corporate and community market strategies to drive towards impact goal of doubling out-of-hospital survival from sudden cardiac arrest (include current impact goal percentages)
  • Growing the ECC s community market that generates over $40M annually
  • Coordinates mission-based campaigns and projects for Community Markets and broader ECC department, including: National CPR & AED Awareness Week
  • Consults with ECC international team to evaluate ECC community mission opportunities in international markets
  • Works with the AHA s Office of Public Advocacy to support acute event policy work, coalition relationships, and ECC
  • Develops National ECC Programs revenue generation projections and budgets and handles return on investment of ECC corporate and community programs

  • Bachelor s degree in a business or healthcare related field
  • At least eight (8) years experience working in a healthcare environment
  • At least eight (8) years experience developing and executing strategic marketing plans
  • At least five (5) years experience leading high performing teams
  • Ability to travel approximately 25% locally and overnight, and weekends when necessary

  • MBA Degree
